Testimonials

Forage & Feast has had great feedback from our passionate foodie customers.
What I loved was...

The adventure is truly about passion for food and local, sustainable businesses. Naomi's enthusiasm is contagious and inspiring. The connection & interaction with others who share a passion for good food and foraging.

Feasting on the produce that we picked. It was certainly a day full of new experiences and adventure.

Having access to places that I normally wouldn't have access to. The varied locations for lunch. The focus on local & sustainable. The surprises of "we are going on a treasure hunt"...who doesn't like treasure hunts! ~

I loved the opportunity to try places I’d normally not have access to! As a local that felt very special and is part of what made the tour for me.

I think for tourists or people new to the region, stops at places like the lavender farm and hook would also probably be really awesome as they’re popular but maybe not the first things you’d do if you came to town.

I also really love how the time at Pirate Pickles was tied into the lunch. That was awesome!

I really love the concept. There was something for everyone.

For those who love to forage, those who love to learn, those who love to eat & drink.

It was a real practical experience. A great opportunity to learn about Central Otago food culture & heritage, the challenges in this environment and the opportunities to discover the bounty of the region.

The surprise element of the experience, didn’t expect a multi course lunch at Hawea Campsite hunting lodge! That was truly lovely, the cherry on the cake, and nice to end on such a high note.

Also it was an intimate moment (not a regular restaurant experience) which made us all bond a little more and ultimately makes the experience unforgettable.
