Forage & Feast hosts regular events and pop-up dinners at stunning locations across our region. We also feature other regular and one-off events around our food and fibre culture, connecting our foodie community.
There is an array of local farmers and artisan markets, events, pop-ups, foodie book clubs and more to keep the food lover entertained year-round. If you are hosting a foodie event, please drop us a line to be listed at no cost.
Autumn Apple Drive
Date: Sat 10 April
As part of Local Food Month, and to celebrate the autumn harvest, join Local Food Wanaka for a weekend of harvest activities at the beautiful Rippon Hall, Wanaka.
This annual event is a showcase of making use of and reducing food waste by preserving surplus produce. Local Food Wānaka will be hosting a communal chutney making session with Lorne from Pirate Pickles, as well as fresh juice pressing.
Bring your surplus fruit, a sharp knife, a chopping board, small jars and 1-2 litre bottles for juice and join the communal activities. The Apple Drive is a great opportunity to meet others and do something together as a community.

Annual Long Lunch
Date: Sunday 11 April
The annual Long Lunch is the epitome of what Forage & Feast stands for: a celebration of local food, community growers and the harvest’s bounty.
All food will be locally donated by the Wanaka community and will be transformed into a delicious, multi-course lunch cooked by some of Wanaka’s top chefs.
Guest speakers (local food champions) will talk about why, how and what we eat is so important. BYO plate, cutlery and drinking vessel.
Tickets $45 per person + booking fees, $20 per child (under 10) + booking fees (maximum 2 children per paying adult.

Eat Your Heart Out

Montessori Childrens House Wanaka are hosting an Amazing Evening at Alchemy on Wednesday 31st March 2021 with the fabulous Peta Mathias. Come along and enjoy Tapas and drinks in a fantastic environment.
Food for Love is lucky to be associated with this amazing evening , donations from the night will be used to continue our work with the Wanaka area , Making sure everyone has full bellies
