Forage & Feast Wanaka

Full Day Food Adventure with Forage & Feast

Our Forage & Feast Wanaka full day immersive food adventure will see you explore lakes Wanaka and Hawea taking you on a journey combining wild and commercial foraging with interactive food discovery sessions and grazing all day long.

 

From paddock to plate and everything in-between, you will be immersed in the stories of the local people who grow, produce and make our food. Hear from our local foodies and sample their delights in a feast of the senses. This is an immersive culinary experience where guests are encouraged to take part where they can.

Terms & Conditions

  • Minimum of two, and maximum of 11, people per tour

  • Minimum 72 hours required for bookings and cancellations/alterations

  • Tours do not run in rain (or when rain highly likely). 

  • Payment required at least 72 hours in advance or at time of booking

  • For a full refund, cancelation is required at least 7 days in advance of the start date of the experience.

  • Please advise any dietaries at time of booking. Note this is a food adventure and not recommended for those with serious allergies, vegans or vegetarians. Meat and fish is served.

  • Private bookings available and a tailored adventure can be arranged
    based on your tastes.

  • Unfortunately at this time, we are unable to provide access for wheelchairs or those who are infirm or unable to walk for periods of time.

Adventure Includes:

  • Full day immersive food adventure with ample tastings including coffee to start the day, morning tea, drink tasting, two course lunch, dessert and tasting, wine with lunch.

  • Visit to local producers, suppliers and walks with foragers (all subject to change and availability)

  • Lunch at a local venue or home of a local

  • Where possible utilizing ingredients collected throughout the morning (due to staff shortages this option may not be available and cannot be guaranteed).

  • Air-conditioned private transport in hybrid vehicle

  • Water and refreshments onboard and onsite

  • Return pick-up from three Wanaka cafes

  • 8.30am-5.30pm (approx)– starts and ends at a local food destination

  • Tour runs October to April. Private tours can be arranged on request.
